Is this a commercial for a KID’s MEAL?! What in the hell? And is that Sir Mix-A-Lot making a cameo at the end, saying bootie is bootie?!
This is so wrong. On so many levels. These fools even have the nerve to have a full-length video version of this song.
I need answers. Who greenlit this? This. is. wrong.
For the record: I’m more offended by the square booties in this commercial, for a kid’s meal, then anything I ever saw in KING magazine.

I have watched this commercial at least 5 times and still can’t figure it out.

At first I thought it was a spoof, because I couldn’t figure out what square booties had to do with Burger King. I then got even more disturbed when they mentioned the Kids Meal. I just don’t understand how the concept is even remotely kid friendly. Its spongebob toy…couldn’t Sponge Bob have made a cameo singing his theme song? A kid wouldn’t even find the humour in this song because 1) its too old, and 2) for that very fact the cameo by Sir-mix-alot is absolutely pointless. This may have worked for a regular burger but for a Kids Meal…its somewhat perverse.

FACT-CHECK: What time did the commercial air?
My co-worker claims that Burger King only plays it late at night. So it’s targeted (bad-ass kids only). LOL.

I’ve seen this commercial at 7 pm on weekdays. That doesn’t seem so targeted to me. But I believe it was on BET so that says something. Sigh.

Funny you should write about this. A lot of people were commenting on this on FB for the last few days.
